A fixed price, a clear list of pages and a date. Here is the page I send before every project.

Most quotes I used to receive were five pages long and told me nothing. Mine now fits on one page.
What goes on the page
The list of pages, the number of rounds of changes, the price, the start date and the launch date. If something is not on the page, it is not in the price.
Why it works
Clients read it in two minutes and can ask sharp questions. I have not had an argument about scope since.
